It's also got a sort of muted colour scheme. I actually made a juban to go with my Taisho/Showa kakeshita - I took the body of a juban that was too small for me, added long sleeves in some red silky mercerized cotton, and made a wrap skirt out of the same fabric. The lining is crimson silk, so I'm guessing Taisho over Showa, now that it's arrived and I can see the inside. LOVE! Need a juban next so I can try it on! The furisode I got is here:

I was sort of worried I'd managed to convince myself it looked more mature than most. It's quite modern (definitely Heisei, not even late Showa), but it doesn't have the flashy feel a lot of modern furisode do. I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels that way.
